With the Winnipeg Jets arriving home from St. Paul, Minnesota for game five at Bell MTS Place on Friday, the street party is expected to be the largest yet.
After already expanding the gathering for the second game of the series, Friday’s version will be bigger than ever, as it will now expand further down both Donald and Graham.
Already implementing a family-friendly alcohol-free zone near the Millennium Library Park, and an additional big screen, the recently upgraded Whiteout party will boast yet another viewing screen and additional food/drink vendors and washrooms, nearly doubling its size.
Although still operating without an official name, frontrunners in the name-game for the Winnipeg Whiteout street party include: The Jet Stream, The Hanger, The Runway, The Tarmac, and The White House.
Not only will Friday’s party be bigger, whiter and funner, it will also be significantly warmer than past runnings, as temperatures are expected to hit 16 degrees Celsius prior to puck drop. The party kicks off at 4:30 P.M. and runs through 10:30 P.M. central time.
