Winnipeg Jets’ First Round Schedule Set

The Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild will do battle in the first round of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. A Central Division matchup will see the Jets (52-20-10) hold home ice advantage to the Wild (45-26-11).

Winnipeg Jets’ First Round Schedule Set

With the playoffs kicking off on Wednesday evening, Winnipeg and Minnesota will play in the first night of the postseason. Puckdrop from Bell MTS Place is set for 6:00 P.M. central in the very first game to get underway in the 2017-18 the playoffs.

Without defensive stalemate and leader on the back-end Ryan Suter, the Wild will have to look to youngster Mat Dumba to serve a huge role on the blue line against a highly potent Winnipeg Jets’ offence. The Wild also boast 42-goal scorer Eric Staal, who has had a renaissance of a year in Minnesota, hitting the 40-goal mark for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

Winnipeg will hope to have most of their injured roster members back for the post-season, including defencemen Jacob Trouba and Toby Enstrom – who have been dealing with various ailments as of late.

The full first round schedule is as follows.

April 11 – 6:00 Winnipeg

April 13 – 6:30 Winnipeg

April 15 – 6:00 Minnesota

April 17 – 7:00 Minnesota

April 20 – 6:00 Winnipeg*

April 22 – 6:30 Minnesota*

April 25 – 6:00 Winnipeg*
