Formerly taken 127th overall by Winnipeg in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, the Brandon, MB product quietly put himself together the best season of his junior career in 2017-18. He collected 44 goals and 91 points in 72 games for the Prince Albert Raiders (14th league-wide), before putting up eight points in seven postseason games. 

Following the completion of his junior career, the Jets’ American Hockey League affiliate Manitoba, signed the centreman to a minor league tryout, allowing him to continue playing deeper into the spring. Stallard did not see any game action with the Moose in their final three games of the season or playoffs, but practiced with the squad until his release on May 2nd. 

As Stallard the Jets were unable to come to terms on signing an entry-level contract by the league mandated deadline, Winnipeg has lost all contract negotiating rights with the 20-year-old. The former fifth rounder will look to jump up the rankings later this month.
