The Winnipeg Jets will open the 2018-19 season in St. Louis on Thursday, October 4th, before hosting the Los Angeles Kings in their home opener on Tuesday, October 9th.
The Jets fared quite well against Los Angeles in 2017-18, beating the Kings two out of three games, only losing by one goal in their only loss to L.A. Winnipeg also held a winning record against their Central Division opponent St. Louis, finishing the season 3-2 against the Blues.
After coming up short against the Vegas Golden Knights in the third round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs this past spring, Winnipeg will look to build off of the greatest season in Jets’ history, as the team finished second in the league with a 52-20-10 record – setting multiple records along the way.
The remainder of the NHL schedule will be released Thursday mid-day. Patrik Laine and the Winnipeg Jets will travel to Finland alongside Sasha Barkov and the Florida Panthers for a two-game showdown at the beginning of November, as the NHL continues its approach to widen its fan support internationally.
