The Neepawa Natives wasted little time putting pen to paper with 17-year-old forward Nathan Driver. After trading with the Selkirk Steelers for Driver this past June, the team signed the former Rink Hockey Academy standout to a standard player agreement Wednesday.

After collecting 14 goals and 27 points for the AAA Bantam Sharks, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound forward opted to travel to the Okanagan Hockey Academy, where he played two seasons for their prep squads in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.

Driver put up 18 goals and 35 total points over two years with Okanagan. A decision was then made for the Winnipeg native to come back to his home province to play for RHA, while still competing in the CSSHL.

2017-18 saw Driver register 9 goals and 20 points in 27 games for the Nationals. He will look to begin his Manitoba Junior Hockey League career this fall. The Natives open their 2018-19 season in late September with a home-and-home against the Winkler Flyers.
