Manitoba Moose Re-Sign Cam Maclise

Originally from Lacombe, AB., Maclise began his career in the Western Hockey League with the Edmonton Oil Kings, before shifting over to the Alberta Junior Hockey League. After hitting a couple roadblock in the AJHL, Maclise joined the University of New Brunswick before spending two seasons at Mount Royal University.

Never finding issue scoring (85 goals in 170 AJHL games, 27 goals in 56 Canada West games), Maclise joined the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League following the completion of his university season at Mount Royal in 2016-17. He put up four goals and six points in 13 regular season games while playing limited minutes for the Eagles, before breaking out in the playoffs with five goals and seven assists en route to the Kelly Cup.

That performance earned the 6-foot-4, 195-pound forward a shot at the American Hockey League, making the Manitoba Moose in 2017-18. In 67 AHL games, Maclise collected seven goals, 13 points and 24 penalty minutes. Two of his goals came on the penalty kill, while another two were game-winners. The versatile forward also dressed in nine Calder Cup Playoff games for the Moose, picking up a lone assist.
