The first half of the trade saw the Wolverines deal Drayson Skulmoski and Kurtis Luke to Neepawa in exchange for Ryan Heino, Tyson Fincaryk and a 2019 draft pick. Heino was then dealt to Melville of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for Isaac Embree.
Heino, 18, will head to Saskatchewan after one full season in the MJHL, where he put together seven goals, 27 points and 33 penalty minutes in 51 games with Neepawa.
Skulmoski, 20, is bound for Neepawa after one full season with Virden, and a year split between Virden and Wayway in 2017-18. In 101 career MJHL games, Skulmoski has nine goals, 25 points and 128 penalty minutes.
Embree, 20, is moving to Manitoba after two season in the SJHL with the Estevan Bruins and Melville Millionaires. Through 95 career games, Embree has 21 goals, 56 points and 316 career penalty minutes.
