The hometown Wheat Kings host the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:00 P.M. Friday, only after a two-hour tailgate party – sponsored by Prairie Toyota Dealers – with a kids area setup in the MNP Hall and an adults area in the Amphitheatre of Keystone Centre.
Children’s activities include facepainting, games, music, kids meals and inflatable bouncers, while beef or pork on a bun will be served to all. The Wheaties’ mascot Willie will also be making a special appearance. Following the two-hour indoor tailgate party, the crowd will transition to Westoba Place for pre-game player introductions and a ceremonial face-off.
Head Coach David Anning and the Wheat Kings are looking to improve upon their 2017-18 season that saw Brandon finish the year with a 40-27-5 record, before bowing out of the WHL postseason in the second round. A home-and-home with Moose Jaw begins the campaign this Friday and Saturday evenings.
