Wheat Kings Sign Albertan Goaltender

The 2002-born native of Calgary, AB. is currently playing in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League for the Northern Alberta X-Treme Prep team, following a year with the Northern Alberta Elite 15s in the E15 Division of the CSSHL.

After spending his first year of Bantam playing AA with the NWCAA Bronks Bantam squad, Ungar moved up to play AAA for the Flames in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League, where he put up a 3.07 goals against average and a .912 save percentage in 18 regular season games.

Going undrafted in the WHL Bantam Draft, the Wheat Kings moved in and swept up Ungar from his chair in Alberta. Now with Jiri Patera and Ethan Kruger working the net, Ungar will challenge for a place on the squad in 2019-20. He participated in training camp with the Wheaties, before being re-assigned to the Northern X-Treme.
