The grade twelve student out of Brandon had a weekend to remember, racking up five points in two games, all while helping her Wildcats teammates to a league-best five wins on the season. After collecting three assists in a 9-0 blowout victory over Interlake on Saturday, Hubbard put up another two-spot on Sunday, grabbing a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Ice.
The current Hockey Manitoba U-18 Program of Excellence Final 27 team member and former MFMHL all-star has already skated against the University of Manitoba Bisons, having committed to play with the University of Regina Cougars in the 2019-20 hockey season.
In two-and-a-half MFMHL seasons, the 5-foot-3, 125-pound winger has 28 goals, 68 points and 44 penalty minutes, including a 17-goal, 37-point campaign in 2017-18. Westman will look to keep the good times rolling atop the standings as they take on the Central Plains Capitals and Winnipeg Avros this coming weekend.
