The Manitoba Moose have sent defenceman Jacob Cederholm down to the East Coast Hockey League.

Cederholm Reassigned to Jacksonville

On Wednesday it was announced that Moose defenceman Jacob Cederholm would be heading down to Jacksonville to join fellow teammate Mikhail Berdin on the Icemen. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound blueliner has been with the Moose since training camp opened in early fall, but has yet to crack the lineup.

The 20-year-old Swede should now see ample playing time with the Icemen of the ECHL, and also enjoy some warmer climate in Florida. The shutdown defenceman was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Jets, and made his American Hockey League debut for the Moose in early April of 2018.

Cederholm won the Swedish SuperElit League championship this past spring while playing for HV71. He skated in 29 professional games in Sweden during the 2017-18 hockey season before dressing once for Manitoba.
