This past week, netminder Dalton Dosch was awarded the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Player of the Week recognition following a rock solid week of action.
The Willow Bunch, SK. native dressed in two games for the Oil Caps, going 2-0-0 on the week. After stopping 32 of 34 shots in Virden’s home victory over the Winnipeg Blues on Thursday, the 19-year-old recorded a shutout on Saturday, stopping all 23 of Dauphin’s shots in a 3-0 triumph over the visiting Kings.
Dosch has now improved his record to 5-8-0, and holds a .916 save percentage. His 2.57 save percentage ranks third in the league – behind only Isaac Labelle and Matthew Radomsky – and his one shutout keeps him on pace with the league leaders in that regard.

Dosch and the Oil Capitals return to action Thursday evening, as they welcome Steinbach to the Tundra Oil & Gas Place for their third of five straight home contests. Puck drop is set for 7:30 P.M.
