The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has named Swan Valley Stampeders’ forward Bradly Goethals its player of the week.

Goethals Wins MJHL Player of the Week

In playing just four games, the 20-year-old collected 11 points for the Stamps, racking up four goals while helping his running mates pick up victories in three of those four contests. Swan Valley faced off against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines three times, and the Virden Oil Capitals once, beating Wayway two times, and Virden in its only matchup.

The product of Iles des Chenes has now upped his season point totals to 13 goals, 15 assists, four power play goals and 22 penalty minutes in just 18 games played, placing him in a tie for ninth place league-wide. He is averaging 1.56 points per game, ranking him second in the league to teammate Matt Osadick (1.67 PTG).

Coming in as runners up to Goethals this week were 20-year-olds Riley Shamray (Dauphin Kings defenceman) and Tony Apetagon (OCN Blizzard Forward). Goethals and the Stamps see their next game action on Friday evening as Swan Valley travels to Selkirk for a 7:30 P.M. road contest against the Steelers.
