The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has announced its monthly award winners, and to no surprise Bradly Goethals has walked away as the big winner.

Goethals Highlights MJHL Players of Distinction

In putting up seven goals and 17 points in just 12 November contests, the 20-year-old of Iles des Chenes took home the MJHL Player of the Month award for the month of November. The Swan Valley Stampeders’ forward had a month to remember with two game-winners as well as four multi-point nights for the Stamps.

In 22 regular season games for Swan Valley, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound forward now has 18 goals and 34 points, producing at a 1.55 point-per-game rate. He is tied for fifth in league scoring, yet is somehow just the fourth-highest scorer on his team.

The MJHL also announced five other award recipients Wednesday, including the league’s top defenceman, goaltender, rookie, peak performer and player of the week.

Portage’s Caelan McPhee picked up the Defenceman of the Month award, while fellow teammates Owen Murray collected the Rookie of the Month honour and Joey Moffat was given the Player of the Week award. Virden’s Dalton Dosch was selected as the Goaltender of the Month, while Wayway’s Xavier Halterman earned the Peak Performer of the Month honour.
