Noah Skorpad has done it again. On Tuesday, the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League announced its December award winners, and once again, Skorpad took home the league’s Player of the Month distinction.

Following a month that saw the 21-year-old forward put together 10 goals and 18 points in just nine games for the Transcona Railer Express in November, the six-foot, 190-pound Winnipeg native added another eight goals and 18 points in eight December contests for Transcona.

Skorpad only failed to record a point once in December, snapping his nine-game point streak on December 23rd against the Twins. In his past 10 games, the Garden City product has 12 goals and 24 points, including two four-point performances.

With 36 points in his last 17 games, Skorpad has brought his season totals up to 22 goals and 45 points in 27 regular season games so far in 2018-19. With 18 games still left to be played in the regular season, Skorpad is on pace to blow his career high 27-goal, 50-point 2017-18 season totals out of the water.

Along with the Player of the Month, the MMJHL released the names of its goaltender, defenceman and rookie of the month. The Raiders’ Logan Thiessen took home the top goaltender award, Pembina Valley’s Derek Wood earned the best defenceman honour, while teammate Travis Penner was highlighted as the league’s Rookie of the Month.
