With the 2018-19 Manitoba Junior Hockey League season wrapping up on March 3rd, the league has announced its major award winners.

MJHL Announces Year End Awards

After each team submitted nominees for every award, coaches from each of the 11 MJHL clubs held a vote in which winners were selected for six of the seven league awards except the Mike Ridley Award – which is given out annually to the league’s highest point scorer following the completion of the regular season. Josh Tripp is currently the frontrunner, as he sits comfortably in first place with 33 goals and 79 points – six points up on the second place man.

Two members of the Portage Terriers earned year-end honours, while two players from the Swan Valley Stampeders were also recognized, alongside one winner from the Virden Oil Capitals and another from the Winnipeg Blues. The First Team, Second Team and Rookie All-Star Teams were also announced Friday.
