Six Manitobans Named to WHL All-Star Teams

It’s all over but the… playoffs. The 2018-19 Western Hockey League regular season has come to a close, and with it, come some league announcements. 

Six Manitobans Named to WHL All-Star Teams

On Wednesday, the WHL made public the players selected as first and second team all-stars for the WHL’s Eastern and Western Conferences. Represented in both conferences is the province of Manitoba, of which six players of Manitoba descent have been hand-picked as the top players at their position.

The six Manitobans chosen by way of vote by the WHL General Managers are as follows:

Eastern Conference:

First Team All-Stars:

Tristin Langan (Forward, Moose Jaw Warriors, Swan River, 53 goals, 113 points)

Josh Brook (Defenceman, Moose Jaw Warriors, Roblin, 16 goals, 75 points)

Second Team All-Stars:

Stelio Mattheos (Forward, Brandon Wheat Kings, Winnipeg, 44 goals, 96 points)

Jett Woo (Defenceman, Moose Jaw Warriors, Winnipeg, 12 goals, 66 points)

Western Conference:

First Team All-Stars:

Cody Glass (Forward, Portland Winterhawks, Winnipeg, 15 goals, 69 points)

Connor Dewar (Forward, Everett Silvertips, The Pas, 36 goals, 81 points)
