Myskiw Collects Back-to-Back Goalie of the Week Honours

The Edmonton Oil Kings’ 20-year-old netminder has just earned his second consecutive Goaltender of the Week award, en route to helping guide his teammates to a date with the Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL’s best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final. On top of the league award, Myskiw was also recognized as a nominee for the Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week following his recent performance.

While tending the net for the Oil Kings, Myskiw has been near-perfect as of late, stopping 88 of the last 92 shots he’s faced dating back to April 6th. He is 4-0-0 in his last four games and 5-2-0 in the 2019 postseason. This past week the former Brandon Wheat King put up an incredible 0.49 goals against average and a .977 save percentage while stopping 42 of 43 shots faced in his two victories over the Calgary Hitmen.
