Moose Fans Help AHL Raise $6 Million for Charity

This money that was collected from late September of 2018 to early June of 2019 (8.5 months) was calculated in American funds, or $7.8 million CAD, and went towards various Canadian and American initiatives, causes, and relief funds across the continent. Despite being one of the smaller markets in the league, the Manitoba Moose contributed greatly to the total number.

With over half of the 38 home games played by the Moose at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg in 2018-19 featuring either a giveaway, community initiative, theme or jersey night, Manitoba had no shortage of opportunity for donation. The annual Teddy Bear Toss, Share the Warmth Night, Shutout Hunger, Autism Awareness Night, Pride Day, Hockey Fights Cancer Day, This is Hockey: Follow Your Dreams Day, Military Appreciation Night, Grassroots Hockey Day and Multicultural Night each gave fans the chance to provide monetary support.
