A free event open to the public, Fan Fest will feature interactive games and activities, food, prizes, and two Jets’ training sessions. On top of checking out various giveaways, contests and displays, children will have the opportunity to meet Mick E Moose, while parents chat with and receive autographs from Jets alumni.
This year, tickets will be required upon entrance, free to print off from the Jets’ NHL website. Each entrance ticket will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a variety of prizes highlighted by a business suite for a Jets preseason game, game tickets, and autographed sweaters.
Also new for the sixth instalment will be a Winnipeg Jets inflatable hockey rink. An obstacle course and bouncers will also once again be on site, while EA Sports will have its gaming lab open to the public for the chance to play its newest hockey instalment of NHL 20, just one day after its Friday release. Children under the age of 10 will also be able to shoot on world renowned goaltender Mick E Moose inside the Iceplex’s Ice Lab. The Winnipeg Jets combine will give participants the chance to try to beat the numbers set by members of the Jets in various physical training tests.
Jets Gear will have a shop setup on site that will give fans an opportunity to purchase game-worn equipment and sweaters, as well as other Jets merchandise.
With training camp opening on Friday, the Jets will take part in two skates on Saturday, with the first group hitting the ice at 9:00 A.M. and the second training session occurring at 12:00 P.M. Fans will have the opportunity to take in these sessions on a first come, first served basis. Various players and coaches from the Jets and Moose will also be involved in a live question and answer period, in which they will discuss the offseason and their hopes for the 2019-20 campaign.
Multiple food and drink vendors will be on location all day, offering sales to those in attendance. Free parking for attendees will be available throughout the day.
