It was a wild start to the week in the Manitoba Major Junior Hockey League, as Monday saw three separate trades involving three teams.

The Pembina Valley Twisters orchestrated the day chalk-full of deals, finding itself involved in all three trades. Beginning with the addition of Rylun Bazinet (Winnipeg) from the St. Boniface Riels, the Pembina Valley then flipped its newly acquired defenceman to the Fort Garry Twins, before sending a larger package to the Twins in exchange for netminder Luke Zacharias (Minnedosa).

Bazinet, 21, has played the past four seasons for St. Boniface, picking up 10 goals, 75 points and 218 penalty minutes in 173 total games. Zacharias, also 21, spent both 2017-18 and 2018-19 with the Twins, going 15-12-3 with a career .913 save percentage and a 3.08 goals against average.

Also involved in the deals were prospects Matt Lehman (Carman), Stanley Storck (Morris), Spencer Kaminsky (Winnipeg) and Dryden Bound (LaSalle), as well as veteran defenceman Tyler Livingston (Miami).
