The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has announced its three stars for the week of December 9 through 15. Leading the way are forwards Tanner Mole and Griffen Leonard, along with defenceman Nick Doyle. All three veteran players were born in 1999 and have played multiple seasons within the league.
Mole of the Steinbach Pistons has only played in 11 contests this season, however, he already has six goals and eight points to his name. Mole picked up five goals and seven points in four games, including back-to-back two-goal performances against Winnipeg and Selkirk.
Leonard of the Winkler Flyers put up five goals and nine points in just three games over the past seven days, adding to his season totals of 18 goals and 27 points in 27 games. Leonard is fourth on the Flyers in scoring and has surpassed his totals from his previous two seasons of NFL action.
Doyle of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines is in his fourth season in the league, and has put up his best numbers to date. Currently owning 10 goals and 34 points, Doyle added two goals and six points in four games this past week.
