This week, the RINK Hockey Academy, in conjunction with Shaftesbury High School announced the academic achievements of 36 student athletes within its program for the 2019-20 school year. The students recognized are to be applauded for their high levels of academic success amid the ongoing global pandemic that began in this past spring.
12 players from Grade 9 were highlighted, while 17 players from Grade 10 also received the honours. Grade 11 saw seven students take home the academic achievement award. The RINK has begun its exhibition season, with the U-15 team taking on the U-16 team Friday afternoon in a friendly preseason matchup.
