The Canadian Sport School Hockey League has announced that its Board of Governors has voted to accept the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s U-15 male hockey team into its U-15 Prep Division within the CSSHL.
Implementing the new U-15 program at PMHA will see Pilot Mound add 20 student-athletes to its community and school through the Grade 8 and 9 levels. In boosting rental revenue at the Pilot Mound Millennium Complex, PMHA will look to begin construction on adding a dormitory to its site.
Currently billeting student-athletes, PMHA is asking its nearby community to consider hosting a billet student during the continuation of the construction process as the school looks to make PMHA not just a learning centre, but also a place to live.
“Construction is expected to begin soon and will include a common recreational/dining area, kitchen, dorm parent suites and living accommodations for the student-athletes,” read a news release from PMHA. “While our complex is being built, the remaining buildings will remain intact.”
If you have room and would like to be a billet family contact Ginger at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 204-825-7667
As this new building is a large undertaking, construction is expected to take a year.
