The American Hockey League has announced its Rookie of the Month for the month of April. With four goals and 13 points, Cole Perfetti has taken the league’s recognition. The Winnipeg Jets’ 2020 first round pick led all rookies in scoring over the past 30 days.
The 19-year-old was a plus-eight, put up two goals and nine points at even strength, while collecting four power play points as well. Six of his 13 points came in the third period, while three of his goals were also within the final 20 minutes in April. Perfetti scored at least one point in seven of nine games this past month.
