Hockey Manitoba Releases Version VIII of its Return to Play

Following the changes made to Manitoba’s Public Health Orders, officially going into effect on Friday, September 3, Hockey Manitoba has released an updated Return to Play framework featuring updates to its policy on COVID-19 vaccines and immunization requirements for those wishing to participate in minor hockey and enter recreational facilities this 2021-22 season.

With everyone age 18 or older required to show proof of vaccination upon entry to sporting facilities across the province beginning on September 3, version VII of the Return to Play have been updated to incorporate the recent changes made.

The full Return to Play document can be found here.

From Hockey Manitoba:

Hockey Manitoba recognizes the important role the game of hockey plays in the lives of countless Manitobans therefore, we are eager to resume play, however the health and safety of all participants must remain the number one priority.

Please note that the resumption of play may not be linear as increasing restrictions may be required in response to fluctuating numbers of COVID – 19 cases in the province.  As a result, our RTP plan will remain fluid and flexible to accommodate the necessary response to the changes in advice from the Provincial Health professionals.

As new information becomes available, we will make sure our Members and the hockey community are informed.
